Do you need some ultimate gift giving ideas? Christmas time is not the only time we need gifts to give. Throughout the year there are birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, etc. And we need gifts for many different circumstances and for different ages.
Sometimes though we can give the same type of gift to everyone, but just personalize it. It makes things a lot easier and definitely helps lessen the stress in trying to get a gift for anyone on your list throughout the year.
It also helps take the stress out of the equation if you take a look at your calendar at the beginning of the year. Mark your calendar with those person’s name that you want to get gifts for, when and for what occasion.

MY GIFT GIVING PROBLEM
For me, that was part of the problem. I didn’t know who or for what I needed a gift. I didn’t know what was coming up because I didn’t write the needed info down in my calendar. So, I was always hustling to get something for someone at the last minute.
I didn’t want to do that this year. I’ve marked down birthdays, anniversaries, etc. that I’ll need gifts for the rest of the year. And I’ve decided to do something a little different so I’ll basically be set for the rest of the year.
I’ve picked out a theme for the year and you could do the same. Something like a basket (which I love) and give everyone a basket filled with items for their bathroom. Or some new, fun socks or even a decadent evening in.
What’s fun about using a basket for your ultimate gift giving ideas is that you can customize and personalize the contents for anything that you need. For instance, fill the basket with a specific room or person in mind. And the person getting the gift gets whatever you’ve put in the basket, plus the basket to use. And who doesn’t like a basket!
EASY GIFT GIVING
This also makes gift giving for the year fairly easy. Look at your calendar to get an idea of how many baskets you may need. Or carry-all or nice box, etc. Then, when you come across some good baskets at a good price, you can snatch several.
Next, all you need to do is to fill the baskets as you come across other items to personalize the gift.
Don’t forget the Dollar Store, as many of the items you might want to use to fill the baskets can be found there. This also helps you stay within your budget.
GIFT IDEAS (Ultimate Gift Giving Ideas)
Here are several ideas that I’ve come up with. Let me know what you think.
Bathroom basket: candles, travel bottles, nice shampoo/conditioner, towel set, jars for q-tips/cotton balls, razors, lotions
Kitchen basket: Complete set of cooking utensils, wine, different flavors of tea or coffee, plant or herbs, reusable ziplock bags
Self-Care basket: female: lotions, manicure set, nail polish, make-up, cologne, make-up brushes, loofah and sponge, bath oil or beads, scented candles
male: manicure set, moustache set, beard trimmers with batteries (If needed), after shave/cologne, razors, brush or comb and back scratcher.
Self-indulgent basket: fill basket with different candy bars, snacks or chocolates and nuts, scented candles with a bottle of wine and a good book.
Kitchen, bathroom, self-indulgent: can be used for newlyweds, housewarming, graduate going off to college, friend, teen, etc.
GIFT BASKETS KEEP ON GIVING
Basket that keeps on giving: depending on what you want to spend-gift cards from different places are good to put in a basket. For example, a $10.00 gift card from Starbucks, one from Five Guys, one from Bagel Bakery or Cold Stone Cremery or Krispy Kreme. Who wouldn’t like this basket—couple of cups of coffee, several lunches and dessert! Sign me up, please!
Garden basket or carry-all or box: hand garden shovel and hoe, seed packets for flowers and/or herbs, new nozzle for their water hose, some fertilizer like Miracle Grow and then a nice bottle of wine for when the receiver is finished with the gardening.
You could even do this without the basket if you like, but still use a “theme” idea for the year.
You can even be very specific with your theme. Everyone gets their own towel set for the year, or jacket/coat, or different flavors of tea/coffee or something electronic like a photostick, earbuds or a waterproof speaker or radio for in the shower.
Getting A Gift For Someone Who Has Everything
Don’t assume whoever you are getting a gift for has everything. Because in fact, they might, but maybe not. A lot of times, these types of gifts like a towel set are appreciated. And it could be because they are items we know we need, but instead we just don’t want to buy these items for ourselves. Or we have other things more important to get rather than a new set of towels, so we continue just using what we have.
I got a new set of really nice towels from a friend a couple years ago that I would not have spent the money on for myself. Now, every time I use them, I not only go “ahhh”, I think of the friend that gave them to me. It wasn’t necessarily a gift I needed, but I’ve certainly appreciated it.
Try your hand and use your imagination for ultimate gift giving ideas. See what goodies you can come up with to fill some baskets for friends or family that will need a gift soon. You may have a lot of fun and certainly a lot less stress.
Stay Awesome!
