What Do Men Want For Christmas?

Do you need some gift ideas men can’t live without? Are you ready for Black Friday? It’s the official start of the Christmas shopping season. There is one question that a lot of us struggle with because we just don’t know what to get the men in our lives. Or maybe we just want it to be a really, really good gift and not fall flat. What’s the big question?

What to get any male on your list as a gift that they’ll actually like? What do I get? It is so hard for me to get a manly type gift and know if it will be a hit or a dud. Apparently I have given some duds….ya know, cause you can tell by the look on the face when the gift gets opened. I try, I really do, but I know I’ve fallen short a few times.

I Asked The Men I Know

After asking several of the men I know, here is a small list of items that I have put together and been told that these gifts would be welcome. Who knew—I always thought getting a new tool would be like me getting a vacuum cleaner. Who wants to be reminded of something they have to do—yuck; not a good female type gift. Apparently though, tools are a good gift to give to the men in your life.

I usually keep my ears open throughout the year when someone says something is cool or indicates something they like and take notes in my calendar. This helps when it comes time to get anyone a gift, but especially for guys. And in my experience, it does no good to ask what they want. My husband has rarely ever given me any ideas, nor my son. So, I’m on my own with this dilemma.

Think About Who You Are Giving A Gift To

Before choosing a gift, stop and think about the person you are getting the gift for. Does he like to hunt or fish, ski or puttering around the house? Does he have any hobbies or maybe he is really into electronics or gadgets? That would be the way I suggest heading when choosing a gift.

Here are gift ideas that I’ve come up with. Some for men that like cars, some for the outdoorsmen, things to use in the car, some pampering items and gadget type gifts. Hope this helps you when having to choose gifts for the men in your life, for any time of the year.
